What I do
I am an independent educational consultant specializing in the Creative Arts.
I offer training and support to teachers and children in developing creative teaching/learning strategies by integrating the Creative Arts (Music, Art, Drama, Movement) into all subject areas.
I work with the specific needs and requirements of each situation
and therefore provide a bespoke service including:-
- Training through practical and realistic ideas for both staff and children
in how to use creative arts to support and enrich their teaching
and learning
- Interconnected cultural enrichment, helping teachers and
children find connections to classical music and artworks
that relate to curriculum subject areas
- Support in developing curriculum cymreig, including suggestions
of meaningful links to arts providers in the city and near locality
- Reinvigoration of existing resources by finding new relevance in
the classroom
I believe that working directly in the classroom, with the teacher and children, is the most effective way of delivering support and ideas that will continue to develop and grow. However, I am also available to deliver specific In Service Training during Twilight sessions to individual schools or to larger groups of teachers from clusters of schools.
